Double headed serpent reproduced quetzaquetal double headed serpent, from the original by Mark Holsapple of Primal Images, was on a 17-inch wide hollow wooden chest ornament inlaid with a mosaic of turquoise and shell. The original piece of art was created by Mixtec craftsmen about a century before Cortez’s arrival in the Americas.
